FacesA Poem by Leviathus Fortes
There's a woman's face upon the wall
It's there each and every night A shadow cast out from within a tree That disappears within the light There's a woman's face upon the wall Independent, strong and bold A picture painted, beautiful Sky blue surrounds its road There's a woman's face inside my head And also in my heart A guiding light that leads my path The reason for this start There's a woman's face, she waits for me I promised to come back I will not break this promise So my belongings, I shall pack There's a future face and it is mine I see it clearly there The face inside the mirror No longer with a cold, blank stare © 2015 Leviathus FortesFeatured Review
