Sweet PeaA Poem by Leviathus Fortes
Sweet Pea was a different fish. He would spend his days with his head above the water, watching the birds fly by. "To have wings" he said. "How wonderful that would be."
He'd find himself, while in school, dreaming he were a bird. "What are you drawing, . Sweet Pea?" "That's me. Yet I have wings." "Silly fish, you'll never be like that. We were built to be in the sea. There's no way that you could fly." But Sweet Pea never stopped dreaming. © 2015 Leviathus Fortes |
