What Goes Around...

What Goes Around...

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

Silently they walked among me

Careful not to break a shell

Ignoring all that had been done

The others now a memory

To bring the subject forward

I know that they do not care

Heads held so highly upward

Such a sign of vanity

They seem impressed

Of what had been achieved

No morals nor a conscious

I pray now for their souls

Remorse I’m calling out you

Step forward if you would

May learning become eternal bliss

And realization be the key

Time is frozen, every moment

I keep forever in my memory

For I am the last to walk

They’re all on their own

They do not deserve to have me

A choice I alone can make

Enjoy your lives and what transpired

Karma has a way of coming back
