The Game

The Game

A Poem by Poseidon

Not quite sure where I should start

Thoughts race like the hand on the clock

Emotions boil to the surface

Which emotion will emerge victorious?

Anger? Depression? Indifference?

How should I feel about you trying to

Spin the wheel?

Playing this game of cat and mouse

Should I ever have a spouse?

Should I ever feel the responsibility

Over another?

Feel obligated to share my thoughts

Even the ones that cut deep?

Would you even stay

At the swing of such a blade?

Before you answer

Just know

That I have more scars from you

Then anyone else

This was very powerful! A struggle with emotions. I like how you bring inner turmoil out for us to see! Great job!
