The Other People

The Other People

A Story by Poppletron

It was just one night away from home, just a party what could happen, well that's what I thought. Let me tell you something until it happens to you it is always, what could go wrong bad thing only happens to those other people, when in reality you're closer to "the other people" then you think. One day it just happens because eventually your actions will catch up to you, because they always do.
I only had a few drinks a little tipsy, but okay to drive, or so I thought. Driving on a country road to clear my head of tonight events when some animal or something just darts in front of my car. I don't know what it was or what happened, but my tire blew out. I went to call my boyfriend when I remembered that he was dead, they all were.
It all came flooding back, but mostly what he told me at the party. He was going to break up with me just because he found a new girl. I was furious and next thing I know he and everyone else were dead on the ground, I was holding a knife, yes a knife and nothing more. They all deserved what happened to them. I just snapped it happens all the time to "the other people" so why not you.

This story actually surprised me (pleasantly). I really like the idea of other people and the gradual unveiling of a mystery is done surprisingly well within such a short story. It could use some work on punctuation, though(it isn't very readable). Nice job!
