Daily battleA Poem by MichaelWoke up and thought about gravity, dark mornings and getting out of bed.Gravity challenges, I accept As sunlight starts to peep There is no person more adept Begone these blessed sheep
I gird my loins and ready my bones Unwind from a coiled heap Mustered muscles, intellect honed I have a date to keep
Roll left then right, I begin the fight Freedom does not come cheap My will is sapped by restless night Grave doubts then start to creep
Now it’s over, done, I can’t go on Gravity spoils may reap I'll stay at home and rest my dome And fall back into sleep. © 2022 MichaelAuthor's Note
