Trust yourself, keep going, don't let others distract you or bring you down.

The hard edge of life cuts deep like a knife

And leaves scars to remind you, beware!

They smile and beguile to hide something vile

Acts not words demonstrate they don’t care

 

Humanity is your priceless jewel

They can't steal what is yours forever

Let your soul purpose be the thing that drives

They can't halt you in your endeavours

 

 Pity those that try to bring you down for

They lost the light used to guide their way

Living their life in darkness, blighted sight

Turns all they see to dull ashen grey

 

When will seems to waiver, and body tire

And resting seems the right thing to do

Call on your reserves of courage and strength

For your life starts and ends with just you

Humanity is priceless and one should one should nurture their own…. Life is tough and some act vile without a care in the world, but those who have strength and courage will prevail above all…and one then will live his/her life in light, while others will live their life in darkness…

Yes, starts and ends with ourselves...I learned this lesson when I was young...I tried to please, I let others' opinions rule my actions and thoughts...
I never realized how crazy it made me until I just stopped caring and lived as I felt best.
I became a much happier camper.

In the end one must find that inner strength in life to rise above the difficult things placed on their path. That is so very true.
