Thoughts on my relationship with the dog - #1

I've owned a dog for many years

 or so I'd like to think

  The first thing that he has me do 

   Is replenishing his drink

The second task he has for me

 Is providing all his food

  He let's me take him for a walk

   If I'm especially good

For years I've been impressed

 With all the tricks he lets me do

   Feed him, walk him, brush his coat

    Picking up the poo

He let's me think that I'm in charge

 The one who holds the lead

  But I stand still and bide my time

   Until he's eventually peed.

we are never really in charge with our pets...they rule the roost and we accomodate them because we love them.
