A Poem by Lestat de Lioncourt

As I walk around,
I see, nothing but
destruction.
Complacency.

Mistrust in the government,
by you and me.
where is the wine?
Promised by thee.

Honey and lime,
for you and me.

Where does it end?
We spend and spend,
for nothing but emergency,
no urgency.

Rectify!
Testify!
oh why, oh why?
Will it ever end?

No.

Educate the youth,
they're living proof.
of our worth as a people.
to leave behind,
not the blind but a legacy
by you and me.

This is my home,
a tome
of death and corruption.
traffic-light disruption.

When will it end?
