The Moment is the MagickA Poem by Jennifer Pennington
Sometimes it'll come crashing in like lightning
My spine becomes the lightning rod Capturing the static shock My skin ignites, my heart maintains the throb Until .... stillness I am the eye of the storm Silence to others But I'm not so sure Senses alive and engaged Patterns form inside my brain Every little moment before and between Nature struck Plays before my eyes I am in the midst I am but a mist Amidst This Just a whisper Just a whisp In time But a moment is a lifetime A moment is life Life is in a moment And it feels just like this Sometimes © 2022 Jennifer Pennington |
