Gentle Musing

Gentle Musing

A Poem by Pollyanna
"

This came to me earlier after I noticed a pic of a flower covered cliff overlooking the ocean.

"

Standing on the cliffs,
in a field of wildflowers,
under a cloudless sky,
staring out across the ocean,
wind blowing through my hair,
sun in my eyes,
thinking about the past,
hoping for the future,
held hostage by the present.

held hostage by the present....wonderful. The blunt short lines make the imagery stand out even more. Enjoyed this.

Relaxing, calm poem. Sounds like a beautiful surrounding. I wish I was there. I really felt connected reading it.
