Moving On

Moving On

A Poem by Polly
"

This is just a song I wrote when I was feeling sad because someone close to me left me. I hope you enjoy. :)

"
I stand by the shore
The place where we became more
The craze which became a door

For me to move on

Now I stand here
Remembering the mere
Clenching my fists
Rolls down a tear

Trying to head over

Another heartbreaking little poem. Short but so filled with meaning.
I'm sorry for this heartbreak you seem to have gone through, and I hope all is good with you now.
This was a really deep and emotion filled poem.
I enjoyed reading this. Keep writing :)

I could feel the loss in your poem and sadness yet it also provides a notion of strength and positivity as I see in "moving on".

Hi Polly. To me, could well be wrong, you seem to be more focused on the rhyme rather than making sense of what is written. Being a second language to you it must be difficult, and I take my hat off to you for having the balls to write and post. We all are constantly striving to improve, and one good way is to read the writings of like minded poets. Hope this helps, good luck

The sadness is palpable in this poem. Nicely expressed.
