bleeding

bleeding

A Poem by Savanna Lee
"

I'm so sick of you, so what makes you think you can keep coming back? And more importantly- why do I let you?

"
Trying to go for help,
I only manage to
fall down the stairs,
landing in an abyss
with no way out.
Searing pain,
from the cold metal blade,
lodged between my ribs.
Whichever way I turn,
I can't seem to pull it out.
A trail of blood,
morbidly reminiscent of
a scarlet ribbon,
tied to every corner,
as if to say to me,
"Don't forget,"
winds back along my path.
It twists and turns,
along all the mistakes,
sometimes forks at
bad excuses.
Whichever way I follow,
it always leads me back
to you.

I always have trouble with these things because one, I've never had a clear perception of myself, and two, you can't sum a person up in a paragraph. Look, I love to write, and I'm constantly trying t.. more..
