laudonum

A Poem by Savanna Lee
"

Ever read the book Ivy?

"
Bitter tears slip
down my throat
forget my pain,
make me
numb my fears;
I'm too far down
this road to be
gone.
Take over me,
course through my veins,
like opium rivers.
Chase away my dreams and
bring me sweet
nightmares
I cannot understand.
Shining like diamonds,
my eyes are too perfect
to see.
Everything distorted
through your
crystal clear surface,
even the smiling faces
of drowning children.

Never read the book but I do find your poem highly intriguing... you must experience things beyond the life you live to better understand yourself... thats what I take from this interesting poem.
