Down the Rabbit Hole

Down the Rabbit Hole

A Chapter by Savanna Lee
"

In the beginning, it was easier to deal with you.

"
I know I shouldn't talk,
shouldn't preach,
because I'm just as bad as you,
one foot down the rabbit hole
and yet,
   I'm not jumping in,

   feet first, tumbling over,
   hands flying through the air
   scream, scream,
        scream
   until you break,
        kaleidoscope colors
      paint the walls,
   the color of your psychedelic
             ventures.

      I know,
           I know,
                I know,
      It's love, and it's
         need,
      just can't live
                                without

          two or three days
                   and the world goes
            black and white,
                         harder to function without
                 flying

            throwing inhibitions
                 to the wind,
               laugh as they skip
                                like stones over
                     this river,
                and pray you don't
             drown
                            (if you even care
                      anymore)

               if you won't save
                      yourself,
                  please, darling
                       climb back to me
                    don't make me watch you
                                  kill yourself.

About
I always have trouble with these things because one, I've never had a clear perception of myself, and two, you can't sum a person up in a paragraph. Look, I love to write, and I'm constantly trying t.. more..
