The Nightmare

The Nightmare

A Poem by Savanna Lee
"

Hah. I dunno. I just wrote it on the spot. It's pretty crappy =/

"

Plunging deeper
Into darkness
The shadows envelope me,
Smother me,
I'm drowning.
Trying to tread water
Just isn't enough
I'm slipping under
The black grows stronger
Until I can't fight
Any longer.
Just before it
Drags me under
The light shines through
My eyes open
And I'm back where
I'm supposed to be.
My back against a wall
The tears stream down my face
Shaking from the fear
That should have gone
But somehow still presides.
Your worried face
Your comforting arms
Your whispered promises
That everything will be
Alright.
It's almost good enough
To believe you.
But I know that eventually
I'll have to close my eyes
And the monsters
And the dark
And the cold, black water
Will still be waiting.
Waiting for me.
Waiting for another nightmare.

I like this one. So, now I'm gonna see how many points I can rack up and crap. I'm bored. BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I'm talking to Tyler, the Canadian dude. On Neo. He gets off and on I think though. He's in the same time zone as us, and that's pretty cool. Reading stuff on here. Pretty good. Rating some...Darn I only have one point. Ah well. Hey maybe I'll spam you're inbox with these. Hah, no one is going to find this review constructive. I can't wait to see how many people say no. It'd make me laugh. Hah hah I think I gave Kallie the headache I got earlier hah hah. She's got a tight iPod, dude! It's freakin awesome! I don't know what kind it is though. Its around the width of a shuffle, but the length about three and a half of them. It's pretty sweet. Hah don't tell her this but while she was at Christine's or something I hijacked it, listened to part of a song. IPods are kinda weird in how you scroll, you know. It took me a minute to figure out what I was doing, lol. Hah hah hah I think she's texting, I can hear the click of the keyboard like when you text while you're talking to me. YES! (hah hah, Mrs. L...) I have six points now. What do you do with points, really? Because I have no idea. Hey, you reading this review wondering "What the crap?"! Yeah, you! send me a message telling me what points are for! Okay? Cool. Hah hah. Hey Arthur Crow,-OMG KALLIE'S WATCHING BACK TO THE FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I havn't seen that movie in forever!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy CRAP!- (anyway...) I've read something that he wrote, but I didn't review it. OMG CSI is on tonight! Holy quap! I'm excited! But it's on at 10... *sigh* ...my mom said she'd be here at ten... so I'll probably miss it. Yup, it's 9:21. Hey, maybe I can get thirteen points on this. Maybe. Hah when you see this I bet you'll be like, "Wow dude that's great. You must have been really bored." *Sigh*. Yup. Hmmm...

Quite a good poem. It is solid in mood and description dragging the reader into the dark depths of emotion. Great flow, much enjoyed!

I always have trouble with these things because one, I've never had a clear perception of myself, and two, you can't sum a person up in a paragraph. Look, I love to write, and I'm constantly trying t.. more..
