Chapter 1 " The Beginning

It happens not so long ago.

This day I open my eyes for the first time, well at least I was thinking it was first time, after this strange thing what happen few days ago. So I open my eyes and at first it was blurry, but after few minutes I can focus on things. But I see something different than I saw few days ago. It wasn’t the view I used to. The colors where different. I couldn’t tell what colors they were, so I decided that I will ask mummy about it later. Then I saw her. She was so beautiful, big and she was looking at me like I would be the most beautiful thing on the world. She licked me and I tried to get up to hug to her. She was warm and I love her so much. Then I heard her speak to me.

" - Welcome baby… " and then she smiled.

" - Mommy? " I ask. " Is that you? Why you look so different?

" - Well my boy, you were born just few days ago, so you never saw me truly.

" - I’m hungry mom….

" - Yes I know, come to me closer and I will feed you.

So I tried to stand up and come closer to her. And yay! I made it! I look down and saw that I have four paws… this was strange… they where nice and have a little bit of fur on them. I took few steps and already I was near my mom’s tummy to eat. After eating I feel strange and I space off. Well I rather fall asleep…

I wake up the next morning still cuddle to my mom. When she noticed that I’m awake sje ask me to go out from our den, so I could see where we lived. Mom take me to the river and I look at it. I was stunned that I can see my face in water!! I look alike like mommy of course, but I was a lot smaller than she. Actually I think that mommy wasn’t that young anymore, so I ask her about it.

" - Mommy? " I ask.

" - Yes?

" - How old are you?

" - Well I’m not so young anymore my boy, but don’t you worry I will take care of you.

" - What about daddy? Where is he?

" - He… " she starts, but stopped. " He died. Hunters kill him before you were born.

" - Oh… So I will never see him?

" - Yes, my dear. I’m very sorry.

Well I thought, it could be worse. At least I was having mom and I was sure that she will keep me safe. But what I didn’t know that you can’t be sure about anything in your life. I drink water from river and after that I follow mom to start my learning about life. Don’t get me wrong, I knew that this things are important, but I was a young wolf, actually I was a kid, so all I want to do, was play.

I’m telling you " jumping and running on the woods " was the best thing ever, or at least I was think that at beginning. Mom was having a lot of patience with me. She tried to explain to me that I need to study more about surviving, than about running and playing around, but I couldn’t just be a good boy and only learning. I wanted to play till I still could. The first week after I open my eyes was the worst. I need to learn a lot of things very fast, like " where I can safely drink water at river or where I can go to not hurt myself. Mom was with me almost all the time, but I was really curious if dad is really gone. Mom said that he’s gone but that first time when I ask her about it she behave strange. Well maybe when I will be older she will tell me how exactly this happen that dad and the others wolves are not with us. I was feeling that something really bad happen in the past…
