Sinister Inevitability

Sinister Inevitability

A Poem by PolaroidRaid

My favorite time of the day is in the morning,
just after I wake up.
For those thirty seconds, I am happy.
For those thirty seconds, I forget all that is bad in the world.

Then reality hits me.
My most cherished moments of the day turn into my most dreaded.

All that is well becomes contaminated
within my most sinister thoughts.
Its dialectic indulgences prove its inevitability.

Each morning I forgive the thoughts.
Each morning, for those thirty seconds,
I am free.

If I were, i would leave this one as it sits. Wonderfully written, and definitely strikes a chord with the reader. I especially loved this line: "Its dialectic indulgences prove its inevitability."

For a rough draft, this is pretty good. There's some good diction throughout this piece. I'm looking forwad to seeing a final version. Good work so far
