Fate of my soulA Poem by PolarPaddyPondering what happens at death and how the soul’s energy migrates back to Genesis. Source: http://forums.familyfriendpoems.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=162017
When I pass and on the other side,
The life I lived can no longer hide. What awaits when I cross that line? Will my soul be guided to The Divine? Death’s door 'tis a portal I’ve heard tell, Where all souls are directed to heaven or hell. The stairway to heaven is a very steep climb, Repentant sinners get redeemed for a crime, The highway to hell is straight and not bent, Where all souls with good intents are sent. When does a soul learn of its fate? Does God know if a soul enters Heaven’s gate? Will Satan know if a new soul has been found? When a soul enters that fiery underground. When my soul makes that final journey, Who will be there waiting for me? Will there be faces of old familiar to see? Or will my soul be alone for eternity? For my burial, it’s green for me, Laid in the ground with the seed of a tree, Wrapped in a shroud, environmentally friendly, A new life form arises in my memory, And oh, however tall that tree will be, Great leafy branches providing shade above me, Where the birds will nest and start their family, And the life cycle continues eternally. Stranger, if you visit, please give a smile, Rest in my shade and pray awhile. © 2022 PolarPaddyAuthor's Note
