You don't want to know
the way the road goes
you try to follow but
your navigational skills
are appearing to lack a bit
I think it only fits
that we fire you from
your position as navigator
I had such faith that
we'd keep you and that
perhaps someday you'd stay
and we'd be able to know
eachother better once you
were officially full time
but it is such a shame
you must have falsified
a document or two otherwise
I don't know why we'd hire you
it seems silly that without a cover
we'd ever let you run this thing
with its cogs and cogs mechanisms
and its occasional steam spasms
you don't even like the flying boat
the captains says that you are dead weight
I prayed and tried my best
but you know he won't just
"let it go" as you suggested
he do, he's gotten quite mad and
you said that wasn't reasonable
to expect the best from the best
not at this time, anyhow
besides you said that you knew
a better ship to fly
one that could go higher
straight out of the sky
I've done all I can do
give you some cod-liver oil
and a pat on the back
beyond that anything
else would be unethical
so yes you'll have severence
and of course we want to keep in touch
just let our people call yours
if you really have any at all
if you don't it is your fault...after all
we just try to make sure this thing
can fly and that the sails are taught
and whole we do what's best for the ship
and after considerable consideration
we decided that's not you after all
Sincerely,
Boatswain #3
