The first wind of fall

The first wind of fall

A Poem by Moataz El Sakkar
"

My encounter with my favorite wind in the year

"

By the window, lost in thought
About all what was and all what may be

I always had nights like those

Never questioned it, nor tried to get free

Never once did I stop to hear

Every windmill turning in my mind
Always twice I thought about

Every move my delusion of impulse makes

By the window I stood lost in thought

The clock ticked past 3 looking rather pale

And the first wind of fall just passed me by
Making the way for this year's gale
