Insomnia

Insomnia

A Poem by Moataz El Sakkar
"

A poem to her who keeps me awake at night

"

You are the romance I dream in my sleep
And once awake I always forget

To you is the word on the tip of my tongue
One syllable being said; the other falls off

The answer to every insomniac question I had
Yet you make me insomniac yourself

The tune a daydream puts in my head

And once I play it

Only then I won't forget
