The night of the pianist

The night of the pianist

A Poem by Moataz El Sakkar
"

A poem that tells a story of a night when I missed the piano..

"
And in my most sleepless night of all
My music spoke to me as I cut the final chord
How long has it been since I replied
And even if it makes it worse; truth to be told
My hands on the piano keys will slowly slide
The world fades away with all of its sounds
And all my other thoughts subside
Nothing but now and here
And a beautiful splendid rhyme
From the top of my head; to the tip of my hand
Becomes an echo to the sound in my mind

Very lyrical writing! I like the musical references, since I play piano.

"away with all its sounds" - the "its" should be without an apostrophe....

Looking forward to read some of your other work....
