Meaning of life

The meaning of Life .

I ponder the meaning of life ,
is it to have children and have a wife ?.

is it to seek clarity in life through feelings ?,
then to get hurt through our daily dealings ?

as we grow older does it become clear ,
or does time pass and 12 months merge into yet another year .?
when we have had granchildren and secured our seed ,
when our future is less clear is that the proof we need ?.

when we see our friends and family pass away ,
was that our lifes aim ? , just to get through another day ?.

Is lifes meaning just to promote renewal ,
are we just pawns in natures black comody , are we just played the fool ?.

It seems we spend half our lifetime climbing the developmental hill ,
then the rest of our life catching up on that missed bucket list thrill .

should we believe that this life is just a rehearsal at being good ?,
then when we die we take our place in heaven ? , do you think we should ? .
so in old age , when we are mature in body and mind ,
why then do we have to rely on others to be kind ?.
when we lay on our death bed , will we wonder , as we near our end ,
was that our meaning of life ? , to wonder where our soul to send .

it seems that the meaning of life is oh so blind ,
it just has one solitary aim , to play the baby game and just provide more humankind .
