Aftermath

Aftermath

A Poem by Poetry Pig
"

Something personal to me. And a mistake I've learned from.

"
When all has burnt to ash
Everything has been forgotten
The ghosts that accompanied you vanish
Beneath where you stand
Nothing but rubble
No one remembers the past
Only what was caused by the aftermath
When bridges fell and buildings crumbled
The ocean was nothing but black
You see all that you have done
When there is no rising of the sun
You no longer move or even speak
You thought you had everything you need
Realizing you are the only king
Of this Apocalypse
Bottled things up for to long
Anger sang its shallow song
The day came when you exploded with rage
Scared everyone you loved away
Should have let them help
All you had to do was tell them how you felt
Selfishness got in the way
Hope began to fade and there was nothing you could say
Looking at what's been diminished
You admit that you're finished
Your existence is about to decay
The clouds cover the sky
Blue turns to grey
You start losing track of time
What day is it
Look into my eyes
Within them lies every lie
This is where I fall
Nobody is home
Nobody is listening
Nobody at all...

It is very personal... But greatly ordained words can greatly describe the pain and regret as the description depicts, its lovely.
