Abuse

Abuse

A Poem by PoetryPenPal

Misuse.

Abuse.

Are you willing to lose yourself,

For the sweet taste of nicotine?

Get lost in the buzz of alchohol?

Feel the kaleidoscope effects,

The dizzyness,

The drunkness,

The drownding.

Be found later sinking into

A sea of unconsciousness

Gasping for air your

Nicotine-eaten lungs

Can't hold.

Smiling with teeth

Burnt around the edges

By the smoke you inhale.

Dying from your addiction.

The addiction that's addicted to you.

Addiction is a bad thing. Many kinds. Cigarettes is a deadly addiction. Burn the face and killed the body. I liked your description of tobacco. Powerful and true. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I love the last line of the poem. Personifying addiction was a nice touch to a true poem.
