Dreaming Of A Release

Dreaming Of A Release

A Poem by Poetic Solace
"

Dedicated to a person, who was always there with me. Thank you...

"

"Didn't you know that I needed you..."

Hidden emotions

Hidden motives

Hidden actions

Tears lost behind a mask

Look closer, dear...

Let's take back what we've said

Let's take back those harsh words

Let's take back our scars

They tell a story

That we all should share

That sivler knife

That gleaming dagger

Lays there on the floor

Knowing,

I won't use it again

These cuts

These scars

These bruises

No one sees them

No one asks about them

I needed you

You needed me

How many times have I asked you

To hold me?

To love me?

To keep me as yours?

How many times have you hurt me?

How many times have we been back to square one,

Only to let it all fall apart again?

Too many to count...

Hold me,

Cherish me,

Keep me here

I need you so much

You're my only piece of a dream now

Let's walk

To the place where everything is okay

To the place of peace

Where you can hold me

Where we are free

And where everything is okay...

Thank you,

For releasing me

Oh I so like this one.. it is peaceful and releasing in terms of letting problems or past issues go.. this is a huge step everyone should make to find more happiness in their lives.. the silver knife ..that gleaming dagger.. such metaphors could be so many distructive things like gossip, distrust, anger, etc.. put those issues at bay and surely make a clean break and live!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this.. we all need to remember these things at times! =)
