LYCANTHROPY

LYCANTHROPY

A Poem by Alfred Vassallo
"

Experience the werewolf

Lycanthropy

It was a dark and stormy night
I gazed around me as I stood in the dark forest
Sniffing the moisten air searching for the weakest prey
Unimportant the size yet I prefer the largest.

I felt like sinking my teeth into some human flesh
Which I could find if I was patient enough
I have to masticate the meat into my mouth
I have to survive, weather if its tender or rough.

I must nourish myself at all cost
Even at the expense of a human life
After all I am no different from a wild beast
Transforming into this is an awful strife.

When the human kill is accessible I shall feast until dawn
I shall bite, chew, nip and gnaw with satisfaction
I shall grind my teeth until reaching the marrow bone
I do this with persistence and determination.

After the transition is over I shall go home and clean myself
Go out and enjoy the company of adults and adolescence
Then at the right time I shall make an excuse and go back to the forest
Were another banquet will be waiting my presence.
