Trembled Foundations

Trembled Foundations

A Poem by Poetry97
"

Once again I've written until the early hours of the morning. I am however quite happy with the end result. I'll leave out my interpretation, It's better if it carries personal meaning.

"
The ground turns moist from heaven's tears,
they fall from clouds of heavy doubt;
and fuel the growth of worldly fears,
which scares even the most devout.

The highest powers fade away
into the wickedness of sanity,
vociferations for a brighter day,
ripple the oceans of reality.

As bridges burn in jaundiced flames,
bilateral worlds are thrown asunder,
hopes and dreams of godless claim,
admitted true with daunting thunder.

A lightning storm, caused by notions,
tears through hearts and minds alike;
the bolts deprive this world's emotions
- its heart they've pierced like sharpened pikes.
