DarknessA Poem by Poetry97A piece originally written about grief, but with many applications.
Do not be afraid of the dark.
Consume it, explore it, surrender to its cold embrace; if you let it leave its mark, it'll lead the way. Too often people fear that which they fail to understand, a nocturnal path might be their guiding hand; through thick and thin it will never leave - it's hard to fathom what you cannot perceive. And then, you'll find, a distant light, weak at first, almost out of sight; growing brighter as you close the distance, guided by blackness, a timeless existence. Finally, you'll find at the end of the pathway, that darkness lead you to the break of a new day. - Gabriel Gustafsson, 2nd of January 2016.
