![]() Winter's EndA Poem by Poetry97![]() Simply a piece on the arrival of spring, or is it? I do hope you enjoy it.![]()
Distant sounds of chirping birds,
over damp fields of growing grass, as trees which the wind has stirred, stand naked on the overpass, a lonesome ray breaks through gray clouds, and sheds its light on newfound life; to plants and flowers it endows, the gift for them to proudly rise. In misty vales an echoed cry, endlessly yearning for clear blue skies; like younglings hatched by a mother thrush - the atmosphere created so vibrantly lush. At break of day, this dawn of time - gently, barely just a chime; listen, hear our mother sing: "It's here! It's here! The time of Spring". - Gabriel Gustafsson, 2nd of January 2016.
