Don't Judge

Don't Judge

A Poem by Yellow Butterfly

Why make a horrible assumption?
Of things you know nothing about
You don't have all the information
Can you prove this is true? I doubt

So ignorant, carrying on regardless
Smugness on your face, your proud
Listening, sitting, feeling powerless
You eagerly tell your story out loud

You need to stop with your negativity
Is it you who's got something to hide
Find a topic to talk about more worthy
A deed you know you did with pride

Life is too short, with all things said
Look for the good in people, instead

Amen to that. I often think in the way you describe. So, yes, it is good to look for good than to be dismissive. But I know my inner misanthbrope will not accept that for long. And so it goes.

The people that have something to hide are the first to strike out.. or some even just stay hidden in their own darkness...either way this is an excellent write..xx
