Autumnal Kisses

Autumnal Kisses

A Poem by Yellow Butterfly

Like a flower that unfolds
she lies in wait no more

Ready to burst forth
oozing all her deliciousness

ready for his touch

in all her ripening splendour
soaking in the morning sunrise

harvesting in his delights

watch how she

comes alive as the

gently Autumnal breeze

flutters through the trees

Whispering grasses

wild dancing flowers

in abundance bringing

forth signs of life

gently caressing her

petal by petal
time is of the essence
as she takes on her final form

ready to douse him

in all of her sweet

nectar autumnal kisses!

great read here YB. has this sun lover almost wishing autumn was a year round affair. I love the structure of your poem. The easy flow into single lines breeds like a quickening arousal of the senses to the chrysalis moment of a love affair. You certainly had my attention. My first read of yours, but I will be back for more
