Yesterday you journeyed alone 

down a path into the unknown 

Conscious decision to redefine 

you as a person, doing just fine 

Today raise a glass of clarity 

never looking for any charity 

Toast away troubles and strife 

now quench your thirst for life 

Tomorrow your glass remains  

empty, new purposes and aims 

Strive on not alone on this ride 

 With true friends by your side

Surely one's Being is a life-long experience and - at each stage of living, we experience and learn snippets about whatever or whoever comes into sight, in difference colours. Perhaps?
