Ripples Of Life

A ricochet out of nowhere
splashes of serenity onto life,
releasing circles of eternity,
brings thoughts to the surface
of the mind one ring at a time

Sending waves of uncertainty,
not to be hemmed in by those
decreasing circles of life, don't

wait for them to become smaller,
till there is nowhere left to hide

Look at the bigger picture, see
beyond the wood for the trees,
spiraling inwards until you come
to a standstill, centred, focused,
able to think clearly and breathe

The spinning swirling nature of your words reminds me how it feels to be bombarded by the ripples of life (nice photo to show this feeling). I love that you don't convey the predictable message, that we all create ripples that touch others, blah, blah, blah. I love that you take ripples in a different direction, one less ordered, one that's messy & dynamic. We can't always keep track of our ripples or other people's ripples, but you give the reader a few landmarks to focus on, how to survive the ripples we can barely see or negotiate!
