![]() Goddess of Spring...A Poem by Yellow Butterfly![]() ~Persephone~![]() ![]()
The season is here where the flowers bloom and birds sing A time to remember the Greek mythical Goddess of Spring Wearing her floral coronet upon her pretty head An enchanting beauty ripped from her flower bed Flowering bloom now a forlorn figure trapped below Amongst the stories of the dead filled with sadness and sorrow Abducted and taken to the darkest depth of the underworld Bequeathed to the prince of death that is what the stories told Soon she became known as the Queen of the damned Ruling the underworld and often returning to her mother land On her return she would feed and cultivate the earth Reminding everyone of her Mystical Divinity and of her worth © 2013 Yellow Butterfly |
