~CUNNING~

~CUNNING~

A Poem by Jillian Alexis

Like a Tiger in the night,

he moved in for the kill;

Quite dangerous and cunning,

he’d lie, and cheat, and steal.

~

His face was known by many,

his students thought him cool;

Then one by one he chose,

his victims from the school.

~

Like pieces in a Chess game,

he planned his moves quite well;

And when it came to Checkmate,

he warned them not to tell.

~

And just like Humpty Dumpty,

they all took a great fall;

He terrorized his classroom,

and roamed the crowded halls.

~

The victims remained silent,

no child ever told;

And I am sure that when he died,

the Demons claimed his soul!

~
