CAN A BROKEN HEART EVER BE MENDED?

~I WISH~

I wish that I could fly,

On a pair of Eagle’s wings;

They’d take me where, I’d never dare,

To venture in my dreams.

~

I wish that I could cry,

Tears that can’t be seen;

Then I could hide, the shame inside,

I’ve felt since I was three.

~

I wish that I could hide,

In a place I can’t be found;

Then I’d be free, to just be me,

In a world turned upside down.

~

I wish that I could die,

So my pain would go away;

But God still has, for me a plan,

My death will have to wait.

This was beautiful. The journey this poem took in just a few, short stanzas was inspiring to me as I read it.
It is very true that even though we may be going through a rough patch in life, God always has a plan for us to continue on and walk across freely to the other side. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece.

Decent work here. A lot of the writing feels random, like you've chosen the imagery just because you thought it sounded cool, instead of choosing what best fit the mood and tone of the piece. There are a lot of vague-sounding phrases and images, so I'm not entirely sure what the poem is about, apart from wishing for things that you realize at the end that you can't have. Which also seems to go agains the tone and mood of the poem, because it's a weird combination of uplifting and depressing. I'm not exactly sure how I'm meant to feel. I think you're on the right track but you can definitely do better.
