~WOULD i BECOME MORE LOVED~

~WOULD i BECOME MORE LOVED~

A Poem by Jillian Alexis
"

These are just some thoughts that popped into my head tonight, so I had to write about them.

"

~WOULD I BECOME MORE LOVED~

If I became much Thinner,

Would I become more Loved?

If I were Toned and Trimmer,

Would I become more Loved?

 ~

If I became more Beautiful,

Would I become more Loved?

If I returned to School,

Would I become more Loved?

~

If I became more Graceful,

Would I become more Loved?

If I became more Greatful,

Would I become more Loved?

~

If I became more Trustworthy,

Would I become more Loved?

If I had Plastic Surgery,

Would I become more Loved?

~

If I became much Wealthier,

Would I become more Loved?

If I became more Healthier,

Would I become more Loved?

 ~

If I became more… Everything,

Would I become more Loved?

If I became a Memory,

Would I become more Loved?

The questions are indelible just as they are probing, and it's often a shame that few of us ever get a chance of passing through the actual exam.

The repetition flowed well and how it was setup. Its sad that the things we must do to gain acceptance by one another.

"Will I become more loved?"

When you ask this it talks on not just a physical level of acceptance, but this question is asked by every body. This question speaks politically, religiously, ethnically, and just morally all the way around. I overstand the depth of such a question.

good write.

People place those notions in our heads and it is so awful. We as woman need to be comfortable with ourselves then then rest wont matter....... yes??

You are a lovely and beautiful soul and woman just as you are. This poem is heartbreaking to read. It is something we all ponder on.

Jillian, this is a wonderfully expressed sentiment that made me, and I'm sure everyone who has read it, pause and reflect. How have we, as a collective society, allowed such notions to take hold? And yet we have. Your poem is a much needed sanity check, written with bold eloquence and grace...a reminder of the truth about unconditional love. I'm so glad I stopped by for a visit and found this gem.

Sorrowful really that we feel so many things might make us feel loved rather than self belief........by being the
good heart you are that will always be enough................many questions, and sadly I think we
don't have those answers..........but your words rang true, we always ask ourselves these questions.

And you should always be loved for being you ... from bitter experience there is nothing worse than being "loved" as long as you change.... you are a lovely lady anyway ... but .. cleverly written ...

If I became more Everything,
Would I become more Loved?"

I can relate to this poem, so great job on this!
