~IT'S MY FAULT~

~IT'S MY FAULT~

A Poem by Jillian Alexis
"

I was sad when I wrote this poem. Child abusers/molesters are sick, warped individuals, whom I have no sympathy for. What they do to children, should be done to them. This is my opinion, anyway. The mere thought of harming a child makes my blood boil!

"

~IT’S MY FAULT~

It was drizzling that day,

so many years ago;

When a little girl of nine,

lay trembling, alone.

~

She remembers all too well,

what happened on that night;

And though she is a Woman now,

the guilt still plagues her mind.

As she relives her yesterday’s,

her heart still aches and throbs;

She reverts back to her childhood,

when her innocence was robbed.

Her memories are as vivid,

as when the pain began;

She was no more than a playmate,

at the mercy of their hand’s.

 ~

Their dirty little secrets,

they warned her not to tell;

Amused and satisfied them,

yet took her straight to Hell.

They touched her private places,

in an evil, filthy way;

“We love you very much”,

was all they’d ever say.

But actions speak much louder,

than any sentence could;

And the horrific things they did,

were never, ever good.

Their deed’s of sheer perversion,

did not feel safe or right;

She never could defend herself,

 she was much too young to try.

 ~

And so this little girl,

whose Breast they loved to feel;

Would cope with the Abuse,

as if it wasn’t real.

 ~

I know this child very well,

and my heart still cries for her;

I hope one day she will forget,

the things I once endured.

I love how much emotion was put into this poem. I also have no sympathy for people who do such things. It's sick and just wrong. Anyways, great write.

I like the sadness in the story. It's what life is about. We can't enjoy yh goodness without the sad moments

it made me think of when i was littler and unable to stop things from happening to... but im over it now and its baried back in my subconciousness and it will never escape... it was really sad and i enjoyed it in the way that people enjoy sad stories, not the mean way that would make people hate me but the way that i like to cry and it almost did make me cry. it made my sister cry when i read it to her....

this sad story of abuse has brought up memories in myself that i have buried deep inside. i, too, was a victim of this sort of abuse when i was a child of six. this is something that i have not told many, because of the shame that i endured in thinking it was my fault and not telling another adult about it.

when i grew to be an adult, i realized that it wasn't my fault, but that of the one that had done it to me. still to this day, i still hide the fact that it has happened, but i have come to terms with it and have learned to deal with it.

thank you for opening up and telling your story about something that shouldn't happen to children. i agree with you about what should happen to abuser/molesters. they ought to be punished though sometimes they are not.

Always,

Amanda

These people will stand before their maker and be held responsible. I hope that this doesn't sound too preachy , but I beleive that they will all get what is comming to them. I childs heart is of gold. To taint that heart of gold is unforgiveable. Thank you for your bravery. I too can feel your pain. I'm sure that many more do as well.

As survivors we must always stand strong and remember that it was never our fault but as a survivor it still haunts me to this day that robbing us of our innocense affects us the rest of our lives but hopefully through our writing and speaking out we will help a young girl or boy speak out about their abusers and not keep silent we want them to know that we believe them and they can trust us, they are not bad and do not deserve to feel that way. they do not have to stay quiet, always tell, no matter what your abuser tells you.you are special and should never be treated without respect. Even if your mother doesn't stand up for you, its not your fault, it is his and he is sick, not you, you are strong, beautiful victorious and a survivor..but first you must tell
thank you for your courage to write this poem it is very hard for us to talk about this subject but it must be
WE ARE SURVIVORS!!!!
