When we Fall

When we Fall

A Poem by Lynn Higgs

When we fall
What have I done
Could it be
I was just
not thinking

How could I
Look the other way
while chasing things
Not of his ways

How far did I have to fall
Before realizing
I was running
From his presence

Why was I so Blind
wanting what
belong in this world
Not what he wanted for me

Why couldn't
I hear his voice
Was all the Commotion
blocking the sound of his symphony

When will I realize
where my place is
Who I am in him
What my true purpose is

Is it to late
Did I stray too far
Are my eyes too blinded
Could my ears be forever clogged

No My Saviour
Has heard my cry
He's come running
To Hold me in his loving arms

Washing all my tatter clothing
with his Precious Blood
Making me look brand new
Giving me new Hope

He's brought his eye salve
and is more than able to unclogged those ears
Soften my heart up
So I can be a better Christian

Yes Jesus Christ Loves me
That much to
Make all those ugly things go away
So I look like a new creation in him

He's so forgiving
never reminding me
Of how far i stray
Or those things I did

His Compassionate is so healing
wiping every tear
encouraging me to carry on
And always be his child
