Crashing

Crashing

A Poem by Lynn Higgs

Crashing

Troubles make a mean meal

Filling up on the sorrows

looking for the laughter

ignoring the pain

People Don't see

all the turmoil

coming against the stone wall

standing there feeling vulnerable

shhhhhhh don't let the tears come

Hide the screams

anger should never show

but when it surrounds

the home to your soul

the exterior is doom to fall

sending  the spirit swirling

 to a quick collaspe

fighting against gravity

seeking to find

the happiness that once was there

It's over now

all that is left

 Is crashing

 crashing , crashing crashing

hOW MANY TIMES

 WILL IT TAKE

WHEN THE CRASHING

HAS CAUSE TOTAL DESTREUCTION

NOT ABLE TO STAND THE NOISE

 OF A SPIRIT HITTING

ALL THE OBSTACLES ON THE WAY DOWN

TRYING TO RETREIVE

THE GOODNESS DISPLAYED

BUT ONLY SEEING THE MEANNESS

FROM OTHERS WHOSE MISERY

WAS OBVIOUS THEY WANTED TO SHARE

LOSING THE POWER

 TO RECUPERATE

ONLY CRASHING

SO YOU CAN GET UP

AND TRY AGAIN

MAYBE THE FALL

WON'T BE SO FAST

 NEXT TIME YOU LAND

A LITTLE MORE QUIETLY

 WANTING TO HAVE THE PEACE

 THAT WILL RESONANT

YOUR  BLIGHTED EXISTENCE

GIVING YOU BACK THE HAPPINESS OF YOUR SOUL

CRASHING, CRASHING CRASHING

NO MORE DO i WANT TO FALL

BUT I AM CRASHING ANYWAY

ONE DAY i WILL

 LEARN THE LESSON

SO THIS CRASHING WILL

NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT

 BUT SEEN AS AN EXPERIENCE

NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN

CRASHING CRASHING CRASHING

i WILL BE NEW WHEN i

STOP THIS CRASHING
