Forgive them they know notA Poem by Lynn HiggsForgive them they know not Forgive all their silliness How they seek to provoke the old
pain Their mneedless attempts of
acting Like they know about Being abuse When they have not a clue Comments on how all of us are Survivors who see Read Hear Experience the events Those who suffered and overcome With those who still suffer Forgive the ones who think they
know When they have not an experience They tell you who you are How they expect you to be What you will do Then they played Some played to let others see Like if y9u lose control They will know the experience Telling them do not listen to
those who went through the experience But listen to us Statistics said 30 % perpetrate
the abuse So know all are dangerous People say they are incapable of
love So all should be isolated Their pain will strike to hurt
you So know they will not trust
you. They think they know Forgive them they know not Their fear prevents them from
hearing you Stop trying to share the
experience In hopes they may reach another Their minds made up Their imposed more harm onto the
abuse Not realizing By isolating them You created the walls By keeping a distance You prevented the intimacy By saying they would hurt You made your point They should not be trusted not
be protected not be help Oh because if they are then who would you have to blame And who would you have to
torture So others can see get a glimpses
of what it is like To see a human endure the pain
of the darkness Imposed on them by people like
you Who refused to let them into the
light Where the pain would subside After all what might happen Is that you may actually see the
truth of what it is really like To walk out of the darkness And maybe and maybe and maybe then I would not have to say Forgive them father they know
not what they do © 2013 Lynn Higgs |
