Peace
So many do not realize
the peace they carry
in their hearts and minds
it lingers there as they walk their day out
feeling safe from intrusions
of others thoughts or opinions
rest in knowing they can be theirself
safe from harm or criticism
not ever knowing what it like to hide
hiding with words
or without words
doing the things to create distance
maybe it because they feel dangerous
 for the ad guys they hide
to keep safe
for the good guys they hide
to keep the good guys safe
from them  their ways who they
without knowing how or what or why
will hurt them
 always on guard
if you let them in they
will see the things inside
they will hurt
then there always those moments
when peace prevails
when they feel safe just being
not having to think
or constantly find the words
to keep themselves protected
from the world
that rejected them
showing them they are not the same
they find a person
where they know they are safe
they can come out
they don’t need to hide
its okay to just let the peace
flows in their hearts and minds
just be
not worrying about what they will say
how they will react
or what may be reveal in just the being
but feeling safe the peace of mind
to just be
