In The Darkness

In The Darkness

A Poem by Poetic-pRiNcEsS

I am mysified by the reality i find myself in.

Was it not exuberant passion i gave thee?

A love so luxuriant and my heart on a silver platter?

Did my heart not not bleed  with affections for you?

It seems to you i was just a morsel,

In  the twilight i grow more timid,

When i discover another day without you.

I wish,i wish precautions were given to me,

To protect my heart with a amour before falling for you.

Today i cry, Bloody tears,

When the darkness im in reminds me,

I am only in it because of you,

I abhour what i've become,

So agrieved and obonoxious.

In the darkness, the cold is fierce,

To love is taboo but I dare not stop,

For loving you, the sirens of death invade my ears,

Yet they never sink in.

I am not to be trecherous even in this darkness.

though your claims of love seem so obscure,

It is not unclear even in the darkness.

The pieces of my heart long for you.

In the litigations of my affections nand ludicrous,

Obstreperous threats of the devils i know,

In the darkness come what may,

Obscene occults the devil is a liar,

Even in the darkness i still love you so.

My heart fell into a point of no return,

When i looked into your soul.

Even in this darkness i can recognize my lost lover,

Trapped in the body of a stranger.

A feeling of contempt comes over me,

Do not magnify my imperfections,

Though in darkenss truth will not forsake me,

You were just being a rascal,

In the novelty of who you are.

My love for you norishes my body,

In the darkeness, the little part thats stores your memory

Glows brightly, then i see the light.

An outstanding poem for sure. Very well written. Heartache and the pain of a lost love, forever they will plunge us into the darkness and we struggle back toward the light. I enjoyed reading your poem. You're very creative and skillful in your writing.

#DoPE...and honestly speaking I only caught on to the 2nd theme (of light and darkness) after I saw your writer's note which means you disguised it well enough. Great work.

The universal law of polarity states good and evil are the same thing just opposed to each other, different ends of the same spectrum. This piece shows this especially in the last 2 lines.

the age old dilema of love ........i liked how you brought out the way it can bring conflict in our lives ....especially when you wrote about how precautions should have been taken so that love could be avoided ....powerful stuff
