Late-Nights

I think we may all do this at some point in time...

~Late-Nights~

 

 

I do my best writing at night.
When humanity rest its sleepy head
And midnight creatures crawl,
I lie awake and pour out my heart.

 

I fill up pages with my emotions.
My thoughts flow through my veins
And bleed blue ink onto pale white pages.
Every line is a little piece of my soul.

 

I live through my poetry
I am alive because of my stories
I take on new life through my imagination.
I am that weeping little girl,
I am that struggling old man.
Feeling their pain…
Seeing their dreams…

 

I am the cause of their disappointment
I am the reason why they hurt.
I make their happy solution
I make their sad death.

 

I get so lost within my poems…
I awake…
Pen still in hand…
Grinning as I re-read my own words…
Yea…
I do my best writing at night…

I do my best writing at night when i should be sleeping..lol..but i dont regret it because the outcome is worth it..

I have to say I am the same way. I dont know why, all of us who like to write like the night. Insomniacs are the most of us (including me).

I can realate you how you say when writing at night enables you to feel the feelings of anyone in a sense.
Writing in the morning is the same, it seems that morning writing delivers more bright pieces on my part. The night time leaves you with the potential weight of the world.

I just truely admire the way you expressed it.

Have you wrote in the dark before.
I have woke up inspired and couldn't keep it in but didn't want to wake up my husband so I wrote it down without a light. That was an adventure to read the next morning. Loved the poem!

I agree with you, night is the best time to write, 'cause you're isolated by world's chaos and you can explore the silent depth of your loneliness to hear some lost vibrations which everyday life keep you from feeling. Some sleepless nights are truly worth living...
