"

just a random story starter my teacher had us do a while back. very short

"

As Nikki stood on the bridge looking at the swirling water below she started to cry, all her life she had been teased. She couldn't take the pain anymore. The thought of jumping off the side of the bridge, never to feel the pain again, crossed her mind, but the reflection of a familiar face in the water pushed it all away.

It was Kevin, her boyfriend for months now. She had told him of her suicidal thoughts form years before but he didn't know of how she was feeling now. She wanted to spill out everything, To tell someone of her pain would feel like lifting the world off her shoulders, but she didn't want to burden him with her life, so she pushed that thought away.

After a few seconds he wiped away one of her tears, and held her from behind. He whispered into her ear something that no one else would hear. For the first time in her life, she felt that someone truly cared, and that everything would be alright.
