Friendship

I picture us 

a quiet collision of 

fate

It's our hands finding each other

fingertips 

entwined 

It's crumbling walls 

acceptance 

of flaws

It's vanity and admiration 

In guarded steps 

It's unwritten poetry

On the parchment paper 

Of our souls

It's becoming close 

Reading books 

On a blanket 

Beneath a tree

It's dry red wine

Ice in mine 

It's laughing , breathing 

it's believing 

We become the haze 

The mist 

The sea glass 

Washing up on the shore 

After the storm 

calming the panic 

It's leaning back 

Against 

the space between 

It's falling asleep while you drive 

It's watching your eyes 

like ancient landslides 

The sunset

The lights

It's a little less pain inside

And also, being able to finally see you letting loose to explore the beautiful depths of yourself. I found to be... fulfilling, to say the least, both in being able to connect with this emotionally and to witness the shine of yourself come through; and out to play. Even if only for a brief moment.

Your shields may have been raised long ago.
Gates closed.
Doors locked.
Fire, ever lit.
Pain, wielded as a weapon.

But still, to create such a soft, emotionally enchanting and heart-felt piece... All I can say is... Angel.
