AsylumA Poem by Poetic Angel
And now my soul seeks asylum
Long after my fingertips trace the outline Of every dream we had written On the curves of my Body Hidden from the world Bones crack against each breath What should've been My moment finally To know love Unequivocally Was waiting room walls that closed in Spreading the darkness Dreams of diamonds on my fingers Slipping like The panic crushing Cracking bones each time I tried to breathe That house in Maine on the edge of the ocean the life we created inside Stitched forever in my mind Your promises Loving me to madness While we watched waves break For eternity As I learned to love myself Through your lust And dark obsession That dream fading A kaleidoscope of promises Etched into my memory You remain my shadow in mystery While I self destruct So beautifully Red wine pain Flows from my veins Alone now I'll die a thousand more times While silently screaming Your name .. -Poetic Angel
