Cinnamon Rose PetalsA Poem by Zella SyzygyJust stopped by to say i love you
The way my mouth forms when I say I love you, and genuinely mean it, is the same every time.
Its not on purpose, its just what happens. My mouth suddenly becomes a rose. Blossoming into bright, beautiful, pink petals that fall lightly to the ground and onto your shoes. Where you pick it up, examine it, and decide what to do with it, Throw it off or Keep it. See, the way my mouth forms when i say i love you, with passion, is a sculpture. Complex lines and shapes, its no flat-lined "love you". Its soul. Its burning bright embers. So overwhelming my lips almost get in the way of saying it. You can always tell which I Love You i'm saying. It tastes like a sweet honey cinnamon burning on my tongue; when said, starlight and sugar drips from my lips. I want you to feel it as deeply as you can, to know with full certainty that i'm with you for as long as you'll have me no matter the condition. Please, look for my lips getting in the way, as I am hesitant, but need you to know. The petals on your shoe covered in sugar and cinnamon are for you and you alone. © 2017 Zella SyzygyAuthor's Note
